Celebrate National Storytelling Week with River Tees Rediscovered and the Tees Heritage Trust (part of the Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's Winter Walking Festival) as we listen to local historian Stewart Ramsdale tell the fascinating stories of Coatham's buildings. Coatham started out as a small Anglo-Saxon settlement but its location at the mouth of the mighty Tees led to its development as an important port which continued with varying levels of success until the 18th century. Stewart has strong connections with the area and will share some of his own unique family stories on our walk around.
