The Redcar Wildlife project will improve habitats for wildlife as well as promoting and improving accessibility and understanding of the area.  This will lead to an improved ecological value and a set change in people’s perceptions that the area is not a mono culture, which in turn will lead to increased patronage and economic spend in the area. The project seeks to positively promote and integrate the communities of Redcar, Warrenby and South Bank with the Teesdale Way and through improved access, interpretation and viewing areas. It will increase positive perceptions through greater understanding and participation. A significant proportion of the works will be undertaken in partnership with Tees Valley Wildlife Trust, by a team of apprentices as a means of upskilling local people and improving their job opportunities.
